So today was a very busy and productive day.

Tom installed the Mohu Leaf 50 so now we get 26 local/regional channels. NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, CW, FOX, and many more. So now I can watch Jeopardy again!!!!! Jeopardy is what I have missed the most about not having network TV, and no watching on You-tube just isn't the same.

We vacuumed the couch, moved the furniture vacuumed the springs, under the cushions, etc.

I have washed, dried, folded and put away at least 4 or 5 loads of laundry and I'm not done yet!

I washed 2 loads of dishes and wiped down the counters.

Thomas mowed the lawn and James trimmed brush so we can turn on the AC, probably tomorrow but I am hoping to hold out a bit longer, Tom really wants it on though.

The trash people came and only took one barrel of garbage and that was the one we just bought, not the one with the contents of the freezer that defrosted last weekend.

Thinking.....
1. What's your favourite yarn in your stash and why? Yes. I only have yarns I like in my stash, life's too short to knit with crappy yarn so my stash consists of almost exclusively natural fibers and fiber blends. Acrylic des have it's place and I will knit with some of it if it is nice

2. Looking at your stash what colours do you mostly buy? Depends on my mood but I do like greens, purples, bright and saturated colors, deep blues, grey, jewel tones,

3. What's your favourite weight of yarn and yarn base? Depends on what I am making, I am into socks right now so sock weight is nice, I tend to stick to medium weights, DK to worsted.

4. Favourite make of knitting needles? I absolutely LOVE the Knitters Pride Karbonz! Also love the Knit Picks Harmony.

5. What pattern have you knitted or crochet that you made several times before? I try not to knit the same pattern twice. And I have no clue how to crochet

6. Gift knitter or selfish knitter? Primarily gift which is why I use worsted~it goes so much quicker. The smaller weights are what I use for me. Of course my last 3 projects (ok 2 are still on needles) were for me.

7. Do your prefer shawls or cowls? Shawls, I a too warm nature-d for cowls but i find shawls to be just the right amount of warmth.

Dropped off groceries for Tom and Thomas to put away while I went to pick up James. Tom called. Not good news. The freezer in the back hall had stopped working in the last few days and everything had defrosted and was at room temperature. Some stuff had even started growing.

So I came home and proceeded to empty the contents of the VERY smelly freezer. It filled our 50 gallon garbage can so I had to go and buy a new trash can since well ya know, normal garbage day is Friday and the inside can was already full. Then I had to use the sump pump to get all the nasty water out. We had 2 or 3 turkeys, a spiral sliced ham, flour, berries, bread, etc. all garbage. grrrrr

Of course to get it out of the back hall we had to take the door frame off the back deck door and take the hall door off it's hinges, and the screen door mechanisms off. In pulling it out we decided to see if it still worked or had just come unplugged from it's extension cord. It was still plugged in to the extension cord but when we unplugged it the ground prong came out and stayed in the extension cord. We plugged it in to the wall and ta-da, it worked. Since we had been talking about getting rid of it and getting something smaller we decided to go ahead and get it out. I posted it on a yard-sale FB page and it was claimed almost immediately.

So I went to the doctor today for the first time since I lost insurance which was 2012, I think. So my A1-C is WAAAAYYYY high, so I am back on Janumet, I am thankful for that. She upped my dose of Zoloft at my request. I have an appointment for a mammogram next month, and she will refer me to a gyno when I get her the name of the guy I saw last. My BP was crazy high when I got there (180/102) but it went down to 130/88 by the time I left. My weight is down a little bit which is nice and hopefully going back on the Janumet will help with more, plus I weigh less than Tom now so we get to go on a diet! ...and since she couldn't see my left eardrum they decided to flush my ear. I haven't been able to hear out of this ear for probably 2 years now. It took a good 30 minutes but she finally got it clear, lots of flushing and scraping the end of a q-tip, all stretched out, came out. A lot of gunk too, but ALLELUIA I can hear again! Of course after all that I got incredibly dizzy and had to sit for awhile, I also have a crazy headache that I am sure is because I can hear and I got dizzy.

It was also a beautiful day today. Sunny and 80. Tomorrow the temps are supposed to drop waaaaaay down.

So I am thinking about doing some swapping on Ravelry and one of the groups has this form to be filled out before swapping. I am just tired of filing this out right now so I think I will post it here so when I feel like finishing it I can just c&p back into forum:
**What is your Location:**East Tennessee, US
**What crafts would you enjoy receiving materials for:** knitting, I do a little stamping and card making as well
**Do you have other hobbies/interests that you would like to receive gifts for?** My hobbies are essentially knitting and reading.
**Do you have any collections, or any themes for items you would like to receive?** I collect monkeys and dragons, I love Doctor Who related items, I collect buttons/pins and put them on my knitting bag
**What level of project do you like to tackle (beginner, intermediate, expert, fast & easy, complicated & challenging):** I will try anything once. :) I like instant gratification/short term projects best, I do enjoy cables and light lace work, socks and fingerless gloves are favorite projects.
**Any special skills you are currently working on?** two at a time toe up socks is my latest new skill. I plan on learning entrelac soon.
**Favorite one-skein project to make (ie., hats, mitts, socks, baby items, etc., or you’ll try anything):** I’ll try anything
**Favorite one-skein project to receive (ie., hats, mitts, socks, baby items, etc., or you’ll try anything):** I'll try anything, I must say I don't really wear hats because I am very warm natured so I get too warm in them. Love socks and mitts
**Favorite colors:**Yes. I love greens, blues, reds, purples, deep rich colors, jewel tones, pastels are good too, grey is good,
**Any colors you do NOT like?**ORANGE! I live in E. Tennessee and everything is orange! It's alright in fall or when muted with browns but as a general rule I HATE ORANGE!
**Weight(s) of yarn that you most like to work with or need more of:** I work with worsted a lot and with sock lately so any weight in between is grand as well.
**Weight(s) of yarn that you least like to work with or do not need any more of:**I tend to avoid lace weight or super chunky.
**Do you prefer solid colors, heathers, variegated:**YES. I love them all though in preference order I would say variegated/ombre, heathers, solids of course this can vary with my mood. Love self-striping yarns.
**Any fibers your partner(s) should avoid sending?**As long as it isn't plastic-y acrylic we're good. Not a yarn snob, some acrylics are fine just the cheapy plastic-y ones I hate. Not crazy about boucle, ladder or fun fur.
**Are there specific yarn brands you would like to try but haven’t yet?** I like indie dyers, I would love to try some Nerd Girl Yarns, Dragonfly fibers, Wolle's, Verdant Gryphon, YarnGarden to name a few.
**What types needles/hooks do you use?** I use knitpicks harmony interchangeable birch needles for most things, I got a set of the carbon fiber needles for socks and LOVE them, I will definitely be buying more of these. I do use the Kollage square needles on occasion. Not crazy about bamboo.
**Are you lacking or in need of any specific ones?** I only have one set of needles smaller than a size US2 because until recently I was too afraid to try them and was new to socks so all socks until now had been on size 2.75mm or greater so small needles for magic looping socks.
**Are there any other tools/gadgets you need or want?** I love stitch markers and unique buttons
**Are there any types of projects or yarns that you do not want to receive?**ladder yarn, fun fur, ribbon yarn
**Do you have food, animal, or scent allergies:** verbena
**Are you a smoker or are your supplies exposed to smoke:**no
**Do you have pets/animals and are your supplies exposed to them?**Cats but yarn is kept in bins and cats aren't allowed in that room so stray hairs may happen but it's not guaranteed.
**What kind of sweet edible treats do you like?**Dark chocolate is my love. I do not like American milk chocolate but love chocolate from other countries. Caramel, licorice, Jordan almonds, chocolate covered coffee beans
**What kind of salty edible treats do you like?**pretzels, roasted nuts,
**Beverages of choice? (Coffee, Tea, Caffeine or not, flavored or not, alcoholic or not, etc?)** I don't do "diet" anything, I hate the aftertaste of artificial sweeteners. I drink coffee and tea daily, both hot and cold. I like loose leaf flavored teas, green tea is a favorite, I don't drink alcohol often but love the flavor it brings to foods
**Are there any types of treats or flavors you do not like or do not want to receive?**I don't like artificial sweeteners and I don't enjoy very spicy items
**Any favorite scents and/or scents that you dislike?**
**Do you like to receive handmade items? If so, which ones?**
Please provide your sizes for:

General Garment (t-shirt size)

So it started as a good day. Got up early, made pumpkin pancakes for me and James, took James to Johnson City for the Junior Clinic band tryouts. James and I had a nice time, think he did ok at tryouts. Then we went to Carriage House Yarns for a min, then headed home. We stopped and got McD's for lunch and brought it to Tom, it was nice to have lunch with the hubs and boy-child. Then headed home. Home is where it turned not so good.

I had a seizure. The first one in a really long time. I felt it coming and had James grab my magnet. The magnet helped it stopped within a few seconds of swiping but it still knocked me on my ass for the rest of the day. I promptly lay down on the couch and slept for the next 5 hours. Couldn't eat dinner. went to bed at a normal time and slept for another 9-10 hrs.

I feel so bad for the seizure. Because I had to sleep I didn't get Thomas to do ANY of his chores. I know it's not my fault per-say but it pisses me that I feel like he took advantage of the situation and the fact that I couldn't keep after him to do stuff.

So glad this isn't happened as often as it was but still sucks when it does happen

So I finally told Tom I wanted to do our Christmas eve and not go to his mothers. I have been saying it for years but this year, after the Thanksgiving debacle I told him I wouldn't do it anymore. We are going to my mothers for brunch and dinner tomorrow but today we are staying home, I am cooking, Ellie & Tom are coming here instead of us going there, Dominic and his gf Nikki are also coming- only because Tom made me invite them. He said it wasn't in the Christmas spirit to not invite them. (grrr). Yes I am sill mad at him. Elle is coming home and staying tonight for Christmas eve and day!!!!! Very glad for that. Anyway. After dinner we are opening gifts and going to 10pm mass. Since Tom has to work tomorrow we will open our gifts tonight and I will make the kids stockings for the morning.

I am calm and coping pretty well, stuff is getting done. Turkey is in the oven, pies are baked, spinach maria and sweet potato casserole are waiting to go in the oven. Need to get some cleaning done but so far I am ahead of schedule and the boys are being very helpful.

I am so frustrated right now. I need to vent. Fuck I am so angry and frustrated. I am hungry, I have a headache, I'm tired and so angry! I took my car to find out why it is idling high and why the clutch is sticking. 6 hours later I am home with no car and no answers! They just told me they would know ore tomorrow. Of course they think the problem with the idling is with the computer which is a $650 part so there is no way I am fixing that. Fuck if it is the computer why can't they just re-boot it or something, why do I have to get a new one? I want it fixed! I didn't know they wanted to keep it over night until I waited for 2+ hours, then I had to find a way home. I talked to boy child and hubby. Let hubs know at 5 that Dominic was on his way to get me and I was hungry since all I had eaten today was a cookie and would be home in just over an hour. Arrived home in just over an hour, like expected. My lovely nephew and son just stood and watched me struggle with my cup, 2 bags, pack of pork chops and book, to get out of the car. I dropped my phone getting out and Dom was kind enough to pick it up at which time he noticed I might have my hands full.....

So I come in the door and what do I see but my lovely husband preparing the rub to put on the roast....not yet in the oven, just sitting on the counter while the oven heated up. His reason it wasn't done yet was...I got sucked in to stupid! FUCK he got sucked in to watching Wizards of Waverly Place. I mean really! Seriously! The time elapsed means he watched at least 2 episodes! Also because I didn't not give a definitive DO IT to my son about washing dishes or mowing the lawn, I told him it would please me greatly if he did one or the other and not a direct order he didn't do either! So what did I do when I walked in the door? You guessed it....DISHES! Why you ask, because no else fucking will!
